The September 2026 edition runs from 10 to 15 September, with new creative appointments, major American houses and a more expansive calendar.
New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 is underway, with the official CFDA schedule running from 10 to 15 September 2026. The preliminary calendar lists 70 runway shows and designer presentations, while broader fashion-week coverage has counted more than 100 events across the city.
This season’s major storylines include Henry Zankov’s debut as artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg, the return of the house to the official schedule after nine years, and appearances from established names including Calvin Klein Collection, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Coach, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch and Thom Browne.
Ralph Lauren presented its Spring 2027 collection on 9 September, just before the official calendar began, while Tommy Hilfiger brought “Plaza Prep” to The Plaza on 10 September.
The week is also notable for its changing geography. Designers are using galleries, cultural venues and locations outside traditional fashion spaces, reflecting a wider interest in fashion as an experience rather than a single runway room.
For the audience, the takeaway is less about one dominant trend and more about the range of American fashion in 2026: modernism, prep, romanticism, utility, experimental tailoring and new voices existing at once.
New York remains compelling precisely because it can hold all of those contradictions.
