Christopher Kane makes his Mulberry debut
The designer returned to the runway with Mulberry after years away, using British leather heritage as the foundation for a new direction.

Christopher Kane presented his first collection for Mulberry during London Fashion Week, giving the British leather-goods house a new creative direction. The Spring/Summer 2027 show, titled “Town, City, Country,” revisited Mulberry’s heritage while introducing new proportions and more experimental styling.
Kane drew attention to the brand’s leather expertise and the visual language of its iconic Bayswater bag. Hardware became a recurring design element, while bags and accessories were developed alongside ready-to-wear rather than treated as separate categories. The collection also included playful British references and exaggerated silhouettes.
The show marked Mulberry’s return to the London Fashion Week runway after years away. For Kane, the appointment represents a return to the centre of British fashion following the closure of his independent label. For Mulberry, it is an opportunity to reconnect its established leather identity with a contemporary designer voice.
