Alexander McQueen returns to London Fashion Week after 25 years
Seán McGirr brought the house back to London for SS27 with tailoring, rave references and theatrical details.

Alexander McQueen returned to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027, marking the house’s first London runway in 25 years.
Creative director Seán McGirr staged the show at Lincoln’s Inn Chapel and combined elements associated with McQueen’s history with references to London subculture and rave culture.
The collection included sharply constructed tailoring, steel and chain-mail details, sculptural shoulders and footwear designed with an armour-like quality. McGirr also worked with Savile Row tailor Huntsman, reconnecting the collection with McQueen’s own tailoring history.
The return is significant for the house because London is central to McQueen’s identity and because the brand is seeking renewed momentum under new leadership. Rather than reproducing archive designs, the collection used British tailoring and street culture as starting points for a contemporary SS27 wardrobe.
