STPI's Inaugural Print Show & Symposium
Leading international print publishers converge on Singapore to argue printmaking deserves the spotlight.
Printmaking has long played second fiddle to painting and sculpture in the fine-art hierarchy, but STPI's inaugural Print Show & Symposium, running 22 to 31 January 2026 as part of Singapore Art Week, made a pointed case for the medium's own aesthetic possibilities and accessible price points.
Leading print publishers and galleries from the United States, United Kingdom and Hong Kong took part, presenting editioned works that attract both new collectors drawn in by lower entry prices and seasoned buyers who appreciate the medium's technical range. For an institution long associated with experimental collaborations between visiting artists and master printers, the new symposium format signals an ambition to build printmaking's collector base as deliberately as its artistic reputation.
