Singapore Style Icons to Follow Now
A new generation of Singaporean designers, creatives and fashion voices is giving the city a more confident visual identity.

Singapore style is becoming less interested in proving that it belongs on the global fashion map and more interested in defining what its own point of view looks like.
The clearest evidence is the breadth of local talent. Recent coverage has highlighted homegrown labels ranging from wearable art to elevated wardrobe staples, while Singapore’s Gen Z-led clothing scene is producing young founders who build brands through limited drops, social media and direct communities. LASALLE’s 2026 graduate fashion show also presented 13 collections foregrounding Asian culture, lived realities and contemporary design practices.
That ecosystem gives Singapore a growing roster of style figures worth watching: designers such as Putri Adif and the young graduates emerging from LASALLE, Raffles and NAFA; independent founders building labels from the ground up; and creatives whose wardrobes move between Singapore’s humid streets, international fashion weeks and cultural spaces.
The new Singapore style icon is therefore not necessarily a celebrity. It can be a designer, stylist, founder, model, artist or editor with a recognisable visual language.
For STRAITSG, that is the more interesting definition of influence. The city’s fashion identity is being built by people who understand Singapore not as a limitation, but as a source of context.
