London Fashion Week SS27 closes with a renewed focus on British fashion
The September 2026 edition brought major returns, first-time runway appearances and a strong mix of heritage and emerging talent.

London Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2027 edition concluded on 21 September after a programme that placed British heritage and new creative voices side by side.
The British Fashion Council highlighted the return of McQueen to London, Christopher Kane’s debut at Mulberry and Marks & Spencer’s first exclusive LFW catwalk collection. The schedule also featured established houses including Burberry, Erdem and Simone Rocha, alongside emerging designers supported by BFC NEWGEN.
The edition was notable for the way established brands used London as a platform to reconnect with their histories while newer labels pushed the city’s experimental identity forward. McQueen’s return after 25 years was one of the defining moments, while M&S used a see-now-buy-now model to connect the runway directly with consumers.
The result was a fashion week combining heritage, commercial accessibility and emerging design talent rather than relying on a single aesthetic.
