Hong Kong Fashion Fest expands the city’s designer retail ecosystem
The 2026 festival combined public retail, exhibitions, runway presentations and industry dialogue.

Hong Kong Fashion Fest expanded its 2026 programme beyond conventional trade presentations by connecting fashion events with public retail and cultural programming.
A central initiative, “Wear’s HK,” ran from 1 to 14 September across six major shopping locations and brought together around 20 Hong Kong designer brands.
The initiative was designed to let consumers discover, try and purchase local designers in physical retail environments. Participating locations included major shopping destinations and Hong Kong International Airport, creating multiple entry points for local and international visitors.
The festival also incorporated Fashion Asia Hong Kong, whose 2026 programme introduced a new “10 Asian Designers To Watch” runway and award presentation. Together, these initiatives show Hong Kong using fashion not only as a trade sector but also as a consumer-facing cultural and retail platform.
The model links emerging designers to established commercial spaces while giving visitors a more immediate route from fashion discovery to purchase.
