Fashion Asia Hong Kong debuts its 10 Asian Designers To Watch runway
The 2026 programme marked the initiative’s tenth anniversary with its first dedicated fashion show and award presentation.

Fashion Asia Hong Kong marked its tenth anniversary in 2026 by introducing a new runway format for its “10 Asian Designers To Watch” initiative.

The first fashion show and award presentation took place on 3 September at Rosewood Hong Kong, alongside the wider Hong Kong Fashion Fest programme.

Ten designers from across Asia were selected by an industry panel, representing markets including mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea and the Philippines. The programme combined runway presentation with an exhibition that ran from 3 to 13 September at Peak Galleria.

The initiative reflects a broader regional strategy: giving Asian designers visibility through a combination of public exhibitions, runway storytelling and professional industry dialogue. Instead of positioning Asian fashion as a single aesthetic category, the programme presented multiple national and creative perspectives under one regional platform.
The anniversary edition therefore expanded both the scale and the public-facing format of the initiative.
