DONATELLA VERSACE IS BUILDING A NEW BRAND WITH REVOLVE

Donatella Versace and Revolve Group have announced a new joint venture: an independent fashion and beauty business, still unnamed, with Versace serving as chief creative officer and Revolve providing its retail and e-commerce infrastructure.

The venture is designed, according to the announcement, around "how a new generation discovers style, experiences culture, shops, shares and connects."

The partnership marks Versace's first major creative project since stepping down as creative director of Versace in March 2025, a role she had held for nearly three decades after taking over the house following her brother Gianni's death in 1997. She remains connected to the label she built as its chief brand ambassador, a position that keeps her tied to the house's legacy while freeing her to build something genuinely new elsewhere.

"I believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world," Versace said in the announcement. "I have always been inspired by the next generation, in music, film, art and, of course, fashion.

This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion." Revolve's Raissa Gerona, President of Brand and Partnerships, framed the appeal in similar terms, calling the pairing rooted in a shared belief that "culture comes from connection."

For Revolve, an e-commerce platform built largely on influencer marketing and younger, trend-driven shoppers, bringing on one of fashion's most recognisable creative names gives the business a level of design pedigree it has never carried in-house. For Versace, at 71, it's a chance to build a venture entirely her own unconstrained by a family name and legacy business she spent nearly thirty years stewarding reportedly targeted for launch sometime in 2027.
