RARE BEAUTY TURNED ITS CULT BROW GEL INTO SIX TINTED VERSIONS
Brow Harmony's tinted expansion promises a 12-hour hold that's never sticky or crunchy.

Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez's beauty brand, expanded its bestselling clear Brow Harmony gel into six new tinted versions this past May with the launch of the Tinted Flexible Lifting Gel - turning.
What had been a purely shaping, colourless product into a full brow-colour category entry, without abandoning the flexible-hold formula that made the original clear version popular in the first place.
The brand's own marketing frames the tinted formula as delivering an instant lift, tint and set in a single step, with up to 12 hours of waterproof, sweat-resistant hold that avoids the stiff, crunchy finish that has historically been a common complaint with long-wear tinted brow gels. That specific complaint - a gel strong enough to hold brow hairs in place all day often reading as visibly stiff or artificial up close - represents a genuine, well-known formulation trade-off in the brow category, and Rare Beauty's positioning suggests the brand sees solving it as central to the tinted version's appeal.
Expanding a clear, shaping-only bestseller into a full tinted colour range is a fairly common product-line growth strategy in prestige colour cosmetics, allowing a brand to leverage an already-proven formula base and existing customer loyalty into a genuinely new use case - full brow definition and colour, not just texture and hold - without the risk of launching an entirely unproven formula from scratch.
For Rare Beauty, a brand whose skincare-adjacent, "soft launch" positioning has generally favoured understated, everyday-wearable products over bold statement colour, a tinted brow gel line fits comfortably within that established brand identity rather than representing any real creative departure.
